Academic Standing & Progression
Academic standing is the quiet track. Nobody accuses you of anything; you simply fall below a number, and a committee decides what happens next. Probation, dismissal, being made to repeat a year, a hold on registration — most of it moves on internal deadlines that are shorter than students expect and are rarely spelled out in the letter.
These posts cover how progression decisions are actually made, what your handbook obligates the school to do before it removes you, and where an appeal has real leverage rather than being a formality.

Grade Disputes & Appeals
A grade appeal rarely wins as an argument that the work deserved more. Showing the instructor ignored the syllabus or made an arithmetic error is different, and the deadline runs in days from when the grade posts.
-
Degree Revocation
Can a university take back a degree it already awarded? Generally yes, for proper cause and with adequate procedure. A school that skips the process its power depends on has given away most of its position.
-
Readmission After Dismissal
An appeal argues the school got something wrong. A readmission petition asks a committee to take a risk on you, so it has to show the conditions that produced the dismissal have changed.
