Student Rights Answers on Reddit

Overview

I answer student-rights questions publicly on Reddit as u/astudentslawyer — dismissals, hearings, accommodations, FERPA, professionalism referrals, and what to do first. The answers are general information, never legal advice about your situation, but they show you exactly how I think about these problems before you ever pay anyone anything.

Why I do this in public

Most students facing a school never talk to a lawyer — they talk to the internet. If that is where the conversation is happening, that is where accurate information should be. Reading my answers costs you nothing and tells you more about how I work than any advertisement could.

Selected threads and AMAs

A curated index of posts and AMAs is being added here. In the meantime, the complete history is on the profile.

A note on Reddit and your own matter

Please do not post the details of your own pending matter anywhere public — including Reddit. Public posts can waive privilege, harden the school’s position, and surface in your proceeding. Read as much as you like; when it is your own case, use the confidential consultation instead.

Attorney advertising. Reddit answers are general information for a public audience, not legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship arises from reading or interacting with them.
