Read the Privacy Policy

See how I handle and protect your information.

  1. Who I am. This website is operated by Zachary Gaynor, Esq., an attorney practicing as A Students' Lawyer (“the practice,” “I,” or “me”), based in Boca Raton, Palm Beach County, Florida. Questions about this policy may be directed to zachary@astudentslawyer.com or (561) 308-9119.
  2. Information I collect. When you submit the contact form, I collect the information you choose to provide: your name, email address, phone number, school or institution, the type of matter, and your brief description. Like most websites, the site and its hosting provider also automatically log technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, and the pages visited. The site does not use Google Analytics, advertising networks, or cross-site tracking technologies; the GoDaddy hosting platform loads its own basic traffic-measurement scripts that report aggregate visit and page-performance data.
  3. How I use information. I use the information you submit to respond to your inquiry, perform a conflict-of-interest check, schedule consultations, and communicate with you. I use technical data to operate, secure, and improve the site and to comply with legal obligations. I do not sell personal information, and I do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
  4. A note about legal inquiries. Submitting information through this site does not create an attorney–client relationship, and information sent before I complete a conflict check and both parties sign a written engagement agreement is not protected by the attorney–client privilege. Please do not include sensitive details in an initial message.
  5. Service providers. The site is hosted and maintained through GoDaddy, and form submissions are processed by the site's form software and delivered to me by email. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services.
  6. Cookies. The site may use cookies necessary for it to function and, if analytics are enabled, cookies that help me understand how the site is used. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings.
  7. Retention. I retain inquiry information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including my conflict-checking and record-keeping obligations under the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar.
  8. Children. This site is directed to adults — students, parents, and families. It is not directed to children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
  9. Your choices. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you submitted by contacting me, subject to legal and professional retention obligations.
  10. Third-party links. The site may link to other websites, including FLeducationLawyer.com and my Reddit profile. Third-party platforms have their own terms and privacy practices.
  11. Changes. I may update this policy from time to time; the effective date above will reflect the most recent revision.
