  • ·Representation from $5,000
  • ·Hearings from $10,000
  • ·Litigation quoted
Every fee, explained →

Four facts are enough for me to tell you which fee applies and what I would do first. I read every message myself and reply the same business day — the next one if you write in the evening or on a weekend.

Full Read + Game Plan by engagement · serving students nationwide

If a school has made an allegation, issued a dismissal, denied an appeal, or denied an accommodation, reach out. The sooner we talk, the more options you are likely to have. You can also find me answering student-rights questions on Reddit as u/astudentslawyer, and posting deadline reminders and student-rights updates on Facebook at facebook.com/astudentslawyer.

If Benjamin Jones from my office follows up on your inquiry, his calls and texts come from (561) 300-0648 — save the number so you know it’s us.

Start with a brief summary, your school, and any deadline. I will review your inquiry and check for conflicts before discussing an engagement.

If time is short, representation can begin as soon as conflicts clear and the agreement is signed — usually the same week. On a budget, the $1,000 Full Read + Game Plan is a scheduled planning session. See every fee and what each includes.

Sending this inquiry does not commit you to a paid engagement. Please keep records and sensitive documents out of this form; secure sharing instructions come later.

Please note: sending this form does not make me your lawyer; that happens only through a signed engagement agreement. I keep what you send confidential, but keep this first message brief: the school, a few sentences on what happened, any deadline, and the names of anyone else involved so I can check for conflicts. No documents yet. If I can help, you’ll get secure instructions for sending records. Use a personal email and phone, not a school account.

What happens after you contact me

  1. You write or call. A few sentences and the names of the others involved are enough — no documents yet, and no detailed story until conflicts are checked.
  2. I run the conflicts check. Inquiries are treated as confidential and handled discreetly.
  3. You hear back from me — the lawyer. If the matter may fit, I will ask a few pointed questions. Benjamin Jones, who handles intake follow-up, may reach out to gather details.
  4. You get the fee in writing. Almost everything is a flat fee, set in writing before any work begins.
  5. Work starts when the agreement is signed. If a deadline is close, that can be the same week.
  6. If I cannot take your matter, I say so plainly — and quickly.
